In honor of CRU’s 20th year, donors who contribute $20 (or more) will receive a CRU 20th logo sticker to attach to your water bottle, laptop, car bumper, or anywhere else you want to show your PRIDE! Thank you, in advance, for considering a donation to help us provide financial assistance to rowers who cannot afford monthly fees and to update our equipment to keep us safe and competitive on the waters.

CRU is an anchor organization whose sole purpose is to nurture the community of people who identify as being LGBTQ+. We strive to provide a safe and healthy place for all of our team members to be themselves. CRU is inclusive of people who are LGBTQ+ and their allies to learn and participate in the sport of rowing. Within our club, there is zero-tolerance of any form of bullying, discrimination, or hateful behavior. Bigotry stops at our water’s edge.

Outside of our safe space, we continue to dismantle hate by partnering with other local LGBTQ+ organizations to fight for the rights of all LGBTQ+ people. Your financial support allows us to continue on the path of equality for all people, but particularly for those in the marginalized LGBTQ+ community. Chicago Rowing Union is a volunteer-run and a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, which means your donation may also be tax-deductible.
